St Peter`s CE Primary School in Bolton, Greater Manchester, was a School extension we designed and project managed. The extension was actually four times the size of the original School.
It`s not just the major works we are able to complete and it`s not always about the biggest schemes. Over the years, we have calculated that Thorpe Whyman and Briggs has completed approximately 5500 School projects since 1940, from the very minor refurbishments and repairs, up to new build Educational Facilities.
We have designed School extensions that fit on the roof of existing Schools underneath in order to maximise on playground space below, and we have corrected Structural defects in Schools that are generally old and in need of rebuilding, just so we can keep the lights on, the classrooms warm and the kids fed. It can be very challenging but we`re always up for the test.
